Vacation

Vacation contributions are based on the hours that you work, and are included by your employer along with their submission of monthly fringe benefits. All Vacation money that is received from employers is forwarded by the Trust office to the Operating Engineers Credit Union, and is credited to your specific Operating Engineers Credit Union account. Effective with hours worked January 2009, you have access to your vacation funds according to the following schedule:

Month 1: Hours are worked
Month 2: Employer calculates contributions and remits to Trust office
Month 3: Trust office reconciles contributions and forwards vacation funds to Operating Engineers Credit Union. Contributions are posted to your individual credit union account by the Operating Engineers Credit Union by the 25th of the month or the next business day, if the 25th falls on the weekend. Please note that if your employer’s benefit payment is not received on a timely basis, payment of your vacation benefits to the credit union will be delayed.
